I studied Fashion and Fine Art at Birmingham Metropolitan College and fully intended to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Instead, my career has gone down a winding road with many twists and turns, and several opportunities, landing me somewhere completely unexpected.
Whilst studying I started down the well-trod path of working part time in a local pub. But from day one I loved working: the customer interaction, the warm smiles from excellent service, being part of a team whilst learning from the different challenges each day would bring. My passion for working encouraged me to pursue a career within the company, leaving college behind with the intention of working my way up the ladder. Once again, plans took a slightly different course and in 2013, I started a job in retail, selling chocolates and candles. After 4 years working the same position, working the same shift, selling the same chocolates and candles, I was unsure as to what I wanted, but I knew I wanted more.
This was the point I was introduced to B.D. and I was finally on the career trajectory that was right for me. Since joining the Bart Dalton Consulting team in 2017, I have loved every minute. Each day brings something new, something new to learn within the world of marketing, exciting new content to create and promote, and new clients to engage with to ensure they have an amazing experience with the BDC team. There is so much energy and motivation within the team, and a genuine passion to take individuals and businesses to the next level, creating success.
In my spare time, I love to travel with my Fiancé. Our weekends are consumed by days out, trying to visit as many new places as possible. I also love hanging out with my family and taking the dog on our many adventures!
